Frequently asked questions
- How much smaller will my file get?
- It depends entirely on the PDF. Scans and photo-heavy documents can shrink a lot; text-only PDFs that are already optimized may barely change.
- Why is this compressor “lite”?
- It works without downloading a large processing engine. It strips unused data and re-encodes embedded JPEG images, but it does not fully rebuild or downsample every image the way desktop tools do.
- Are my files uploaded?
- This runs entirely in your browser — the file is never uploaded to a server.
